Ceramic Window Film
Ceramic film is the best type of window film that money can buy. It is superior to traditional dyed film in many ways:
- Offers much better heat rejection, making your car safer for kids and pets.
- Superior Clarity vs dyed film
- Film maintains color and appearance over time.
- Non-metallic means clear reception for electronic devices
- Will reject 99% of harmful UV rays, up to 80% of infrared light and 66% of heat coming through your windows

FAQs- Frequently Asked Questions
Window Tint
You will probably want to get your windows fixed before you have them tinted. Yes we can still tint your windows, it just may take longer If you get them fixed after we tint them, there may be a larger light gap at the top. Please let us know prior to your appointment so that we can allow extra time.
Absolutely! We only recommend that you don’t touch the inside of your glass for about a week while the film is curing. And of course, never use ammonia based cleaner.
Every vehicle is different, but here are some general time frames.
Front Windows: 30-45min
- Front Windows: 30 – 45 min
- Cars & Trucks: 2 hours
- SUV’S : 2 – 3 hours
- 6″ Visor Strip 30 – 45 min
We suggest that you wait at least 7 days before you roll your windows down. This will give the film’s adhesive enough time to cure.
- The window tint law changed in 2009 allowing cars to legally have 35% on all windows except for the windshield.
- If you have darker than 30% tint in the rear, you cannot legally have front tint.
- If you have a truck, crossover, or SUV with factory tint, you can legally tint with 50% on your front windows.
Yes and No. In Illinois, it is not illegal for window tint but some restrictions do apply.
Most cars have a black ceramic “frit” edge on the rear window. Sometimes the ceramic edge is straight and flat, sometimes it will have a dotted edge. These black ceramic dots are quite thick on most cars and prevent the film from sticking to the area between the dots. This results in a whitish looking strip trimming the glass. Typically this isn’t very noticeable, however some cars have a wide band of dots trimming the top of the rear window. This area is so wide that the whitish looking area created is more pronounced. Unfortunately this effect is unavoidable.
- Please do not roll down your windows for at least 7 days.
- Please allow 2-3 weeks for window film to fully cure.
- Pockets of water are common and will evaporate.
- Never use ammonia-based cleaners such as windex.
- Do not use rear defrost for at least 3 days
- We recommend Eagle One 20/20 Glass cleaner and a soft micro-fiber cloth.
